Writer's Block

Writers have blocks.
Poets have dementia
Writers have plots and characters
Poets have feelings and constructs of thought

Writers invent stories
With twists and turns
And people with honor
And others with perhaps
No so much honor.

Poets feel and use
Words to express
The workings
The innermost workings
Of the human condition
Or possibly in-human condition.

Writers invest their time
Poets invest their souls.
Writers create a fiction
To entertain their readers.
While poets mine the depths
Of their own joy and pain
As an emotional offering
To the mind of the reader.
